Christmas

(PICS AREN'T WORKING RIGHT NOW, SO I'LL UPLOAD SOME LATER)

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We stayed home in Boston and enjoyed Christmas as a small little family of our own. On Christmas Eve we took the kids to see Christmas lights (a tradition in my family growing up), and Santa must have thought they were good this year because he visited our house and brought Chase exactly what he asked for, a Transformer. Amelie got what she wanted too (with a little prodding from mom & dad), a baby doll. Both were happy and excited about their Santa gifts. Dad got an iPhone, something he's been drooling over since they came out, and I got......A PIANO! Totally unexpected, but wonderfully accepted. Our Christmas day activity was to go sledding, and boy was it fun! We went last year but Chase doesn't remember, so it was his first experience and he loved it! He got a big smile on his face and said AGAIN! Hope your Christmas was as Merry as ours! We love you all!

Wow you guys had a wonderful Christmas, It was so fun seeing you all at Thanksgiving, you have the cutest kids ever, I can still hear little Chase singing his heart out! I think you must of been a super duper good girl to get a piano. What a wonderful surprise. Happy Holidays! Love you, the Lawsons

Cameron wanted a transformer too. Little kids are so easy to please. I bet you were pretty thrilled with a piano, that's awesome.

To sum it up

To sum up the last 9 months... We went to Disney World and Universal in March with Rick’s family. It was a BLAST! Favorite part was Harry Potter world. Favorite ride was Rockin’ Roller coaster, or Hogwarts castle, or the Avatar ride.  Rick and I coached track March-May. It was fun but stressful. I like doing something for the community. I don’t like running a program w my husband and not enough adult help.   Kids finished school in May and we went on a camping trip Memorial weekend to St Joe State Park with our favorite people, Richardsons. Some other ward families came too. Marcellino’s and Smith’s.  Summer hit, Soleil got baptized, and Rick got a job offer to work for Cricut in Utah. Finally a job closer to family! We spent three very stressful weeks prepping our house for sale and then took off to Utah driving both our cars on July 13th.  The following week we vacationed in Lake Powell with my family. After coming home from that we settled into Heather’s basement ...

2019 is my year to Be Prepared

Last year I decided to make a goal that involved one phrase, no guilt. That phrase stuck in my mind all year long, and guided me through a lot of situations. I found by the end of the year, that I really had changed because of those two words. In all the years past that I have set goals, I have set very specific reachable things. I always find that a few months into the year my motivation drops off and I don’t follow through with the goal. By the end of the year I either feel disappointed in myself, or I can’t even remember what my goal was to begin with. Last year was different in a very good way. So I’ve decided to do the same thing this year. After pondering and praying about what my goal should be this year, I came up with the phrase be prepared. There are so many ways to be prepared in life, spiritually, physically, temporarily, etc. I find that a lot of my stress on a daily basis could be remedied if I had only spent a little time before hand to prepare for that moment for that s...

Golf date

We went on a group date Friday night with our best friends here in St Louis, Wilson’s and Richardson’s. We went to a new place in Chesterfield called Top Golf. We ate yummy food and visited while we hit golf balls off a platform. It was the first time I had ever hit golf balls in a real way, aside from miniature golf. It was harder than it looks. Everyone had fun and I came home sore.
