I'm a facebooker now.

(This is a recent photo taken over Thanksgiving of my whole family)

I've neglected you. I'm sorry. Not that I have many followers or readers, but to those of you who do comment or look at my blog now and then, I am sorry. See, the problem is that I have discovered how much easier it is to use facebook. I know, I know, I never thought of myself as a "facebooker". I always saw it as a "single" and "young" thing to do and kind of a waste of time mostly. But my opinion has changed. My main reason for blogging was to keep in touch with my family and friends who I can't be near anymore, and I do that mostly through pictures. Well, you all know how difficult it is to upload pictures to blogger...you have to resize them, then post only 5 at a time, and then rearrange them how you want which is most annoying. I just found that with facebook I can skip all those steps. I can download as many as I want straight from my computer and rearrange them and put captions on them easy, and NO resizing. It's just easier. So...I will try to keep up with my blog on the "happenings" of my life (since I don't like the "status" feature on facebook), and add a picture or two here and there, but if you're more interested in pictures then add me as a friend on facebook. Ok? Ok. That's settled.

Comments

I totally understand. That's why it took me so long to get a blog. Facebook is just so easy. I love that you can just send a quick note of facebook. Not so much on a blog.

When I post pictures on my blog, I can upload a lot at a time and I don't ever have to resize. I have the updated version which I think you can switch to in your settings. Anyway, it still takes forever to upload pictures, but not as difficult as only posting five and needing to resize them. Just sayin'.

I have to guiltily agree that it is also the reason I haven't blogged as much. Facebook is quite easier! ;)

Amber- you've gone blonde! I had to enlarge that picture because I was like- where's Amber?! Anyway, you look good and your little girl is so big. I only remember her as a baby and toddler so it's amazing to me to see a pic of her so big!
I'm really interested in your posts about the Real Food book, I'd definitely like to read that!
How is Provo? How did it feel moving from here to there? We might be moving later this year so I'm just getting different opinions since it's been over 10 years since we've lived in UT.

I also meant to say- I don't have to resize pictures either, or rearrange them on blogger, I wonder why yours is like that. I haven't started on Facebook for several reasons, but yesterday I watched the movie "The Social Network" and now I definitely never will! That is one company whose bottom line I don't want to be helping out.
I look forward to more of your food book posts!

To sum it up

To sum up the last 9 months... We went to Disney World and Universal in March with Rick’s family. It was a BLAST! Favorite part was Harry Potter world. Favorite ride was Rockin’ Roller coaster, or Hogwarts castle, or the Avatar ride.  Rick and I coached track March-May. It was fun but stressful. I like doing something for the community. I don’t like running a program w my husband and not enough adult help.   Kids finished school in May and we went on a camping trip Memorial weekend to St Joe State Park with our favorite people, Richardsons. Some other ward families came too. Marcellino’s and Smith’s.  Summer hit, Soleil got baptized, and Rick got a job offer to work for Cricut in Utah. Finally a job closer to family! We spent three very stressful weeks prepping our house for sale and then took off to Utah driving both our cars on July 13th.  The following week we vacationed in Lake Powell with my family. After coming home from that we settled into Heather’s basement ...

2019 is my year to Be Prepared

Last year I decided to make a goal that involved one phrase, no guilt. That phrase stuck in my mind all year long, and guided me through a lot of situations. I found by the end of the year, that I really had changed because of those two words. In all the years past that I have set goals, I have set very specific reachable things. I always find that a few months into the year my motivation drops off and I don’t follow through with the goal. By the end of the year I either feel disappointed in myself, or I can’t even remember what my goal was to begin with. Last year was different in a very good way. So I’ve decided to do the same thing this year. After pondering and praying about what my goal should be this year, I came up with the phrase be prepared. There are so many ways to be prepared in life, spiritually, physically, temporarily, etc. I find that a lot of my stress on a daily basis could be remedied if I had only spent a little time before hand to prepare for that moment for that s...

Golf date

We went on a group date Friday night with our best friends here in St Louis, Wilson’s and Richardson’s. We went to a new place in Chesterfield called Top Golf. We ate yummy food and visited while we hit golf balls off a platform. It was the first time I had ever hit golf balls in a real way, aside from miniature golf. It was harder than it looks. Everyone had fun and I came home sore.
