Sawyer and cereal

Sawyers favorite food is cereal. He could eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner. He eats everything else like a bird, but he pounds several bowls of cereal.  He just finished two bowls of Cheerios and turned to me and said, "Mom, my last bow is gonna be Life, cuz I wanna live."  Good thinking Sawyer.  Hahahahahahaha!

Conversations with littles

Sawyer: mom how old are the cats? Me: 6 months old Sawyer: so they're 6? Me: well not 6 years, only 6 months Sawyer: soooo they're 6? Me: no, there's 12 months in a year. The cats are only 6 of those so they're not even a year old yet.  Sawyer: so uh so they're 6 then? Me: not 6 years like you, only 6 months. That is only half of a year so they are only 1/2 a year old.   Sawyer: so they're 1/2 of 6 then? Me: yes, yes Sawyer, yes. 6.

Mother-Son date at the grocery store

Went on a Fieldtrip with Sawyers preschool to the grocery store.  We stayed behind and had lunch together. Don't get much alone time with this boy. Love him!

Not again

Will someone tell this boy to slow down?   Literally dove for a ball on the hardwood floor. Glasses got him. The good news is he'll have matching scars on both eyebrows.

Mayors Ball

Soooo one of the perks of Ricks job is that he gets invited to some fun stuff. Tonight we got to be guests at the Mardi Gras  Mayors Ball . Our ticket stubs were the $2500 level, so it was fancy!  Free appetizers, drinks, dinner, music, dancing, entertainment, tattoo painting, oh and curbside valet too. It was so much fun getting dressed up for a swanky evening. Ricks friend from work and his wife came with us, Andy & Katy Burch.  The front of City Hall A bar made out of ice!!!

A Champion in the houz

Chase participated in his first Pinewood Derby this year. He and Rick put together a fast little car dubbed the Silver Bullet by the racer participants. They took 2nd place, pretty good for first timers, only .002 seconds behind the first placers in their Senior year of competition.  It's safe to say Father & Son were a little proud.  Oh and being the Cub Scoutaster, Rick was in charge of the event, and he did a swell job!

Guess who turned 8 today!!

Yes, Miss Amelie Rose!  This pretty little girl reached the ripe old age of 8 today, which means that she is on her way to becoming a responsible, mature, accountable person, and will soon have the privilege of being baptized!  We are so lucky to have her.  She is a smiley girl, a silly girl, witty at times, a smart girl, a good student, a kind friend, a patient sister, an obedient daughter, a rule follower, and knows her Heavenly Father loves her.  Oh, and she's cute too! ;) She got to have a friend party this year, and was so excited!  She chose to have a Princess Party complete with makeovers and tea time, and had so much fun dressing up and frilling up with her friends. Waiting for friends to arrive!   Donuts this year instead of birthday cake.  Yum!  Back row: Bailey, Paige, Mya, Lauren Front row: Sophie, Madison, Amelie, Hailey  This game was fun, Kiss the Frog!  Each girl got their own lipstick and t...
