Today

Today I had fun chillin' with Lele on the couch. She jumped up and down on my tummy, giggled with delight, and we watched Yo Gabba Gabba together. I wanted to squeeze her so tight. Today I snuggled with Sawyer in bed. I watched him fall asleep and couldn't take my eyes off him. For a moment time seemed to stop and I didn't want him to grow one more day. Today my little nephew came into this world, Jake Jeffrey, weighing in at 7 lbs 13 oz. I felt immediate love for him. These are the moments that make life worth living.

First soccer game

Chase played in his very first soccer game today. He scored the only two goals for his team and won the MVP award. Pretty good for a first timer. Way to go buddy!
Awwww...massages are great. I think every mother deserves them at least once a month. Wish they weren't so expensive cuz I think I need one about every week. I feel so calm and happy. What this house would look like if I felt calm and happy all the time. What my children would be like if I felt calm and happy all the time. What my husband wouldn't give to have me calm and happy all the time. Maybe I can convince him it's worth the $280 per month...

Sawyer talk

Can't forget some of the funny things Sawyer has said over the past few days. While driving home in the car from Utah, he was playing games on my phone.  I heard it "ding" signaling a text message so I asked him "What does it say?" and his reply was "Nevermind" and he continued to play. While staying at my cousin Aimee's house in Las Vegas, she was feeding the kids breakfast in the morning.  He didn't know her very well and didn't know her name, so to catch her attention he called her "Hey dude!" He overhead me talking to Chase & Amelie about going to school, and he said he wanted to go too.  I told him he has to wait until he turns 5, and pointed out that right now he is 2.  A little while later he said to me, "Mom?  I'm 5 now.  I was 2, and now I'm 5.  So I can go to school now!" He and Amelie were running in the hallway and I heard a loud BANG!  I turned around the corner to see both of them fallen...

First day of school

Today was the first day of school.  Yeah!  Chase was excited to go back, Amelie excited to start kindergarten and be at school with Chase every day of the week, and I am looking forward to having only two kids to run errands with.  Happy mommy :)  Poor little Sawyer missed the kids while they were at school though.  He kept asking for them.  So I watched a movie with him, to which I fell asleep, and woke up suddenly to a BANG and then WAILING from him falling off the stair railing which he wasn't supposed to be climbing on.  He took full advantage of my falling asleep and suffered the consequences of it.  This kid is too cool and ready for school. After school we ran errands.  Filled car with gas.  Stopped at mall to get kids glasses adjusted so they don't look like Granny with them halfway down their nose.  Got Soleil's one-year pics taken, finally!  That little stinker wouldn't hold still.  Got some school clothes...
