I've been behind on my summer posts. Here's the latest.
My friend's husband manages the local movie theater, and she invited us join her on opening day of How To Train a Dragon 2. They each got full service popcorn/snack/slush trays and a little gift bag to take home. They were thrilled and enjoyed it so much! Thanks Jillian!
Had all 4 kids in swim lessons last week, through SwimAmerica at the high school. The littles had so much fun just being in the water and the bigs learned how to swim freestyle quite well. I was very pleased and they looked forward to it every morning!
Chase turned 9. Wow. Half way to 18. I can't believe it. What a special kid he is. Took him and a few friends to the Science Center, baked cupcakes for his troop at scout camp, and finished the night with a movie with dad (Xmen). Fell asleep in the movie and woke up in his bed, didn't even remember how he got there. That's the McAllister in him!

Baseball is a big sport here in St. Louis so we enrolled Chase and Sawyer this year. Through their league we were able to get tickets to a Cardinals game and the boys got to parade on the field in their uniforms. Even though the Cardinals lost to the Phillies, it was a fun experience being there together and cheering on our new team!
The most beautiful backdrop ever
No baseball game is complete without sunflower seeds
Outing to the Missouri Botanical Garden. It was WAY cooler than I thought it would be a totally free!!!
a lego tractor
The Children's Garden was awesome
Another day at the pool. Ain't that the cutest little body you ever did see.
What could be better than cheesy bugles at the pool. I think Soleil spent more time eating them than swimming.
ANIMALS
Monet loves playing with her Goldendoodle friend Lucy
I bought her a nice pad for her crate so she would have something soft to lay on, and instead she moves it out of the way so she can lay on the cold hard plastic
I can't get over the cuteness of my Picasso in his bow tie
There are some really weird bugs here. This beetle creeped me out on the driveway.
He's a snuggle bug
Monet was playing too hard and sprained her foot. I feel guilty that I was not happy with the vet bill.
She loves loves loves her dad the best
Amelie made Picasso a bed. He looooooved it.
Found this darling delicate robin's egg in our backyard (it was empty)
He finds the funniest places to relax, and he has no idea the basket is about to fall off the table!
I've been amazed with all the wildlife here in Missouri. We see deer often in our neighborhood, but today we actually saw a spotted fawn walking with his mother. It was the cutest thing ever! A couple days ago we saw a big fat groundhog eating grass on the side of the road. We've seen turtles crossing the road, and last night I saw my very first fireflies! Literally lighting up and flying around! It was like magic.
